Usually the one in control of the Watchtower, J'onn monitors and dispatches heroes to troubled locations. Despite his duties, he still aids heroes in the fields if needed. After admitting to Wonder Woman that he didn’t especially care for humanity, he fulfilled her request of returning to Earth and helping her defeat members of the Legion of Doom. Upon returning to the Watchtower, he no longer felt fit to be in charge of the Tower and returned to Earth disguised as a human, hoping to rekindle the love he once felt for humanity. When Darkseid returned to Earth to destroy it and Superman, J'onn came out of hiding in China and aided the Justice League in taking out the invading Apokolips forces. While he still assists the League, J'onn still lives in China with his new love.
