The Batman ShadowTek: Mattel, 2007. Asst K4024, SKU# K5756
Batman gets a TIE Fighter. The comparison to Star Wars is obvious with this latest Batman vehicle.
Like the other ShadowTek vehicles this one also “Transforms Instantly” although not with a button. Rotate the cockpit around and the wing tips flip to an inside slant from an outside slant and the missile pods in the wing tips pop out with two projectiles in each one.
SPECS:
6 ½” long (closed) 5 3/4” long (open), 3 1/2” high and 8 5/8” wide (closed) 9 3/8” wide (open). It comes with four red projectiles and a fixed Batman figure in the cockpit.
PROS:
I don’t like all the different Bat-Vehicles, but this is really cool and worth picking up.
CONS:
Again like with the Bat-Tank my main gripe is that it’s not in scale with the other The Batman figures.  This is about 1/32 scale or so and about half as big as I’d like it to be. However it does display nicely with the Bat-Tank
OVERALL:
Watch out Darth Vader, Batman has a new set of wings. As a toy this is really way cool. The mechanisms are solid and everything works just great. It has hours worth of play value. I wish it had landing gear so it would display a bit better, but maybe I’ll just hang it from the ceiling with the other Batplanes.
