Years later, she came across a boy from a nearby village who she promptly slaughtered to feed her pack. Witnessing the carnage and believing the girl to be in peril, Green Lantern Bush killed the predators and whisked Karu-Sil to Glaxos IV to be cared for. After murdering one of her caretakers, she was recruited by the Sinestro Corps.

In his attempt to survivie he drank the caves water - - which, unknown to him, was infused with a strange elixir that increased his muscle mass, making him much stronger. When Maxwell donned an ancient helmet, he discovered he could command and communicate with animals as B'Wana Beast. Even stranger, he could merge any two animals together into a new, hybrib form called a chimera. B'Wanna became a fighter for animal rights as the jungles premire hero.

Biography: nitially an actor in horror films, Basil Karlo went mad when he learned a classic film of his was to be remade. He donned the mask of the film's villain, Clayface, and killed several of the remakes cast and crew. Later, Karlo joined a collection of villains who used the name Clayface. Before the gang was defeated Karlo injected himself with the essences of several of his allies, becoming a superhuman with the abilities to change shape, melt others into protoplasm, and mimic the powers of heroes or villains.

Brainiac has destroyed hundreds of worlds, including Superman's home, Planet Krypton.

Biography: As the adopted daughter of Gotham City's police commissioner, Barbara Gordon was raised in a household filled with cops and their stories. Barbara wanted nothing more than to follow in her father's footsteps, but the elder Gordon refused to allow it. As a jibe against her father, Barbara wore a "Batgirl" costume to a masquerade ball and wound up saving billionaire Bruce Wayne from a kidnapping attempt. Deciding that this was how she could serve the cause of justice. Barbara Gordon elected to keep her new costumed identity.

Biography: College student Jean-Paul Valley had no idea that he was destined to follow in his father's footsteps and become an elite enforcer / assassin. Trained since birth by "The Sacred Oder of Saint Dumas" to be Azrael, Angel of Vengence. When the order sent Azrael to kill a weapons dealer, his plans were thwarted by Batman. But Batman's example proved an inspiration to Azrael, who turned against his masters in the order and became their sworn enemy.

Orion's feral nature made him the fiercest fighter of all the new gods and ultimately helped him defeat Darkseid's plans to control the universe.

With it, Jordan, chosen by the ring itself because of his fearlessness, must fight evil as a member of the Green Lantern Corps.

Arriving on a distant planet, he recruited Mongul as part of a plan for revenge against Superman.
