PLOT SUMMARY:
Three Louisiana university students try to do a spell to get revenge on the kids who bully them, but it apparently doesn't work. The kids return to their rooms, but Solomon Grundy mysteriously emerges from his grave and grabs one of the kids through the door of his room.

Meanwhile, at Dr. Fate's tower, Aquaman and Hawkgirl are having a game of chess as Amazo looks on. Aquaman beats Hawkgirl again while trying to provoke her fighting spirit, and Hawkgirl travels to the garden of the Tower. She meets up with Inza, Dr. Fate's wife, and they discuss her issues about leaving the Justice League. Dr. Fate feels the rumbling of Solomon Grundy's grave, and alerts the League.

Meanwhile, Vixen is attending a fashion show with Green Lantern watching. After hearing from Superman about Grundy, GL alerts Vixen that they need to get out of there and fight Grundy. The three of them meet up and attempt to stop Grundy, but he is now too powerful and consumed by complete rage, wrecking everything in sight and easily knocking out the three.

Dr. Fate, Hawkgirl, Amazo, and Aquaman teleport to Louisiana and help the others fight him. They meet up with the other three and want to attack, but Hawkgirl wants to try talking to Grundy before attempting to defeat him. She tries to remind him of the past when he sacrificed his life to save their's, but it's no use and Grundy continues wreaking havoc. Amazo attempts to stop Grundy, but even he isn't strong enough, and Grundy absorbs his attack and sends it back at him. Amazo feels that the more power he uses, the more powerful he'll make Grundy so he retreats several light-years to stay out of his potential range.

The war with Grundy rages on, but Hawkgirl still doesn't want to attack him. But when he takes Vixen captive, she has no choice but to swing her mace at him. The mace oddly effects him and Grundy jumps down into the sewers, but Hawkgirl doesn't want to go after him. The League finally convince her that she's the only one with the power to stop him from destroying the whole city, and she reluctantly goes down in the sewers and has no choice but to kill Grundy to save the city.

Green Lantern says that Hawkgirl is welcome to come back with the League whenever she wants and the League - now with Hawkgirl among them - walk into the sunset, ready to return to the Watchtower.
