ORIGINAL AIR DATE: 2/12/2005
EPISODE NUMBER: 11, Production Code 110
PLOT SUMMARY:
Trained birds are collecting money - the Penguin is back. Batman engages him but the Penguin's Kabuki bodyguards delay him long enough that they all make their escape. While driving away, the Penguin spots a TV ad for an upcoming interview by Melanie Bramwell with Bruce Wayne - "A Day in the Life." While Bruce is tied up with the interview, Penguin visits Wayne Manor and takes Alfred prisoner.
The Penguin and his henchmen make themselves at home, so to speak, wrecking the place and stealing everything, while Bruce is out on the town with Bramwell following him with a camera. The Penguin calls Bruce, who fakes his end of the conversation so he doesn't give it away to Bramwell. Then Bruce tries to make his exit but Bramwell secretly pursues.
Bruce gets to Wayne Manor and fights the Penguin, but is distracted and knocked out when Bramwell arrives. The Penguin prepares to unmask the Batman on camera but while he boasts, Alfred gets loose and causes a distraction. Bruce gets free and the fight begins again - Alfred manages to "accidentally" destroy the tape while the Penguin flees with Batman and Bramwell in pursuit. Bruce and the Penguin fight it out on the rooftop and then Penguin summons his birds to knock Bruce off the roof but Bruce manages to snag the Penguin and save himself, leaving the villain to dangle before the cameras.
Bruce comes up behind them but Bramwell begins to wonder, but Alfred dresses up as Batman to divert her suspicions, leaving Bruce in the clear. Bramwell decides to obsess on the Penguin, much to Bruce's relief.
