DIRECTED BY: Brandon Vietti
CAST:
Rino Romano (Bruce Wayne / Batman)
Alastair Duncan (Alfred Pennyworth)
Mitch Pileggi (Commissioner Gordon)
Jeff Glen Bennett (D.A.V.E.)
Richard Green (Dr. Hugo Strange)
QUOTES:
Bruce: "How can DAVE not realize he's a computer program if he just uploaded himself?"
Hugo Strange: "The criminally insane mind often creates its own reality"
INTERESTING NOTES:
- Richard Green takes over the role of Hugo Strange from the late Frank Gorshin.
- The psychopathic computer, DAVE, may be named as an homage to Dr. Dave Bowman, who battles the insane computer HAL9000 in the film 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968
- DAVE's "face" resembles Brainiac's distinctive V of lights, inverted and red instead of green.
- DAVE's fashion of discovering Batman's identity is similar to how Ra's al Ghul deduced the secret in the Batman: TAS episode "The Demon's Quest (1)" (physical description, necessary wealth).
- Batman faces an artifical intelligence whose name is short for a longer, more technically specific title (DAVE). This is very much like HARDAC in the Batman: TAS two-parter "Heart of Steel".
