The Silver Monkey was a memeber of an assassain cult called the Brotherhood of the Monkey's Fist. The Silver Monkey left the cult, and became an assassain for hire, working as underworld muscle. His first known hit was against Gotham's crime lord Sir Edmund Dorrance, the King Snake. He fought Dorrance to a stand still, but his kill was interrupted by Robin. He was hired by corporate mogul Fritz Mueller to portect the ashram that he had taken over. This ashram had been the former home of Connor Hawke, the second Green Arrow, and Connor went back to reclaim the ashram. The Monkey beat Connor, and sent him from the ashram. He confronted Connor again, this time under the employ of mob figure Milo Armitage, this time with the mission to kill the young hero. Connor defeated the Monkey this time, sending him away in disgrace and calling the wrath of the Brotherhood down on Green Arrow in the process. He recently served as the bodyguard to the head of Gotham's Yakuza, and was killed in the shootout that started Gotham's gang war.

Silver Monkey was one of the most successful members of the Brotherhood. He was master of many forms of martial arts, and had no compunction against killing.
