Dr. Leslie Thompkins asked Jean Paul if he (not Azrael) could find her brother, a missionary missing in the desert that he'd just returned from. Jean Paul located General Magog and learned that the other Azrael was loose - he'd attacked three of Magog's men. It was believed that another man was helping him. Jean Paul was given a driver and a Jeep. En route to their destination, they struck a land mine.
