PLOT:
After being captured by Batman, the Penguin is sent to prison where he shares a cell with the Joker. The two crooks each claim to be the best in town and a rivalry begins. They escape from prison then compete to steal a valuable emerald.
Batman plans a trap for them using the emerald as bait. Both crooks fall into the trap, but manage to escape. After the incident, the crooks decide to join forces against the Batman.
The Joker-Penguin alliance proves a successful venture. The police and Batman are both unable to keep up with the crooks. Batman and Robin are eventually captured, but an argument enuses between the crooks. Batman plays the crooks off each other allowing him time to escape. Then he and Robin apprehend both crooks and send them back to jail where they vow to work alone on future crimes.

PLOT:
Sheik Omar El Kobra learns that the exiled sheik Sidi Ben Hassen is alive and working as a cab driver in Gotham City. Kobra has usurped Hassen's rule, so he and his assassins travel to Gotham to finish off the rightful sheik.
Sidi Ben Hassen is injured while helping Batman apprehend some crooks. Batman drives Hassen's cab back to the garage, while the driver is taken to the hospital. He then becomes entangled in the assassination attempt, when Omar and his men mistake him for Hassen.
Though he is tied up, Batman manages to send a signal to Robin. The Boy Wonder arrives in time to help Batman beat the assassins. When Hassen recovers from his injuries, he is restored to rightful rule.

PLOT:
Alfred attends a magic show at a theatre, where he volunteers to be hypnotized. Under the spell, Alfred realizes that the box office has been robbed by an employee. He attempts to stop the bandit and is nearly arrested himself. The theatre manager sets things right, then the spell is removed. Alfred has no memory of catching the thief, until he reads about it in the newspaper.
