PLOT:
Bruce Wayne finds an old bat-costume in a trunk that had been worn by his father. His father had been wearing the costume at a party that was interrupted by gangsters. Wayne stopped the crooks and later testified against gang leader, Lew Moxon. Moxon went to prison, but when he was released he hired Joey Chill to kill Wayne.
Bruce, as Batman, tracks Moxon to the west coast, but the gangster has no memory of hiring Chill. A car accident gave him amnesia about these events. Batman then confronts Moxon in his father’s bat-costume (his own was shredded in a fight with Moxon’s men). The image of the costume restores Moxon’s memory. He flees from Batman and runs into traffic where he is killed by a passing car. Batman is disappointed that he was unable to bring the man behind his father’s death to stand trial.

PLOT:
Alfred has fallen in love with the maid of a nearby socialite. He is so smitten that he begins neglecting his household duties. When he meets the maid, he tries to impress her by telling her that he is a close friend of Batman. When she demands proof, Alfred returns to Wayne Manor for a spare Batman costume. He then tricks the maid into believing that he is Batman. However, the maid is really Catwoman, so she captures him.
The real Batman and Robin deduce the maid's true identity from a poem Alfred has written. They realize Catwoman is using the servants of the wealthy to gain information for robberies. As Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson, Batman and Robin visit the house they suspect Catwoman is using. They too are captured and reunited with Alfred.
While Catwoman robs Wayne Manor Alfred, Bruce, and Dick escape. The real Batman and Robin stop Catwoman's gang. Catwoman herself nearly escapes, until she happens across Alfred, who is still disguised as Batman. Alfred gives Catwoman a spanking, then turns her over to police.

Batman's plan succeeds. The crook, Paul Crowell, is led straight into Batman's trap. After defeating Crowell with Batgirl's help, Batman learns from the girl crimefighter that Crowell had an accomplice which contacted him via the library. Batman then apprehends the brains of the operation John Hart.
