PLOT:
When Robin is shot during a battle with the Joker, Batman decides that it's best that he work alone and ends his partnership with Dick Grayson. Meanwhile, Vicki Vale attempts to get Bruce Wayne to head up a Citizens Against Batman group, which Bruce promptly refuses to do. Later, on the anniversary of his parent's death, Batman travels to Crime Alley, where he meets a young orphan Jason Todd who has stolen the tires off the Batmobile. Choosing to not involve social workers or the police, Batman places Jason in Ma Gunn's School for Boys, but is this school all it appears to be?
