PLOT:
Left with no other choice, Bruce takes Damian back to the Bat-Cave to show the young man his new home. Unfortunately the boy, raised by insane assassins and global crimelords is less than fond of his new abode and especially offended that Bruce would take away his sword. He is also not afraid to voice his disdain for Bruce's adopted son Tim Drake, who just returned from a long needed vacation.

While Alfred is showing Damian his room, Tim is confronting Bruce about his new son. Batman responds by telling Tim that the young boy clearly has been used as nothing more than a weapon his whole life and needs love and attention. Hurt and upset, Tim flees the cave and tells Bruce that the Spook has taken the Mayor hostage at Blackgate.

Before he can respond to the Spook's situation, Bruce rushes upstairs to find Damian throwing a tantrum. Bruce tells the boy that he has dishonored his sensei by behaving this way and unleashes a torrent of anger on the boy that only Batman could muster. Shocked and a little in awe at the display of rage, Damian retreats and honors his father's wishes.

Batman rushes to Blackgate but before he can confront the Spook he must rescue one of Gordon's under-cover cops who gets discovered by another of Spook's henchmen. When Batman reaches the Mayor he finds that everyone is safe but the Spook has been decapitated - his head missing.

Spook's murderer, Damian returns home with the Spook's head in a sack. Quite the formidable detective himself, it seems as though Damian was able to find where Bruce had hidden his prized sword and has broken back into the Bat-Cave. Robin returns to the cave and offers a truce to Damian but is shocked when he sees the Spook's severed head and confronts Damian.

The two do battle with Damian eventually getting a cheap-shot in and back-handing Tim off of the gigantic Tyrannosaurus Rex, sending him crashing to the grown below. Damian steals one of the old Robin costumes on display and heads out to find his father as the new Robin! Finding Bruce, he lies and tells the Caped Crusader that Tim had quit as Robin and offers to join his father to help defeat his mother, Talia al Ghul.
