PLOT:
It's a quiet evening in the Gotham Police Department as Detective Geoff Shancoe is settling back into his desk after returning from his honeymoon. Thanks to his new wife and the support of both Gordon and
Alcoholics Anonymous, Det. Sutton has seemingly turned his life around for the better. But his quiet existence is soon turned upside down when the Batman bursts through the front door and delivers
the mad man named the Joker who has recently begun terrorizing Gotham City.
Batman returns to the Bat-Cave to mark another case closed while the police begin processing their new booking. But nothing is ever as it seems with the Joker as the Clown Prince of Crime begins to wreak
havoc, brutally beating himself in the holding cell before
spraying his fellow inmates with a hidden capsule of acid. But just when it seems as though things are settling down, the Joker uses his one phone call to contact Detective Shancoe's loving wife and convince her that she has
contracted a terminal disease driving the poor woman to suicide.
While Shancoe rushes home to find his wife's corpse hanging from the ceiling, Batman begins to wonder if turning the green haired mad-man over to the police was such a good idea after all.
