PLOT:
Alfred hears a cry for help while walking a dog as a favor to one of Bruce Wayne's friend. He stumbles across a robbery at Sambell's soup factory. The thieves escape with cans of expensive turtle soup. Alfred deduces that they must work for a rival soup company. He leads the police to the thieves, which results in their capture. Bruce and Dick don't believe Alfred solved the case on his own. They think it was just a lucky accident.

The New Crimes of the Mad Hatter

PLOT:
Jervis Tetch, the Mad Hatter, escapes from prison and begins a new series of crimes. His new pattern is to use specialized hats to disguise himself and commit robberies. Batman deduces the pattern and also realizes that each crime is based on the occupations of the jurors who convicted Tetch. Batman is then able to deduce the locations of the Hatter's crimes. When Tetch tries to escape using a giant balloon, Robin brings him down by popping the balloon with a hat pin.
