PLOT:
The battle for Black Alice's allegiance continues on the Zechlin's front lawn with both the Society and the Birds trying to tempt the teenager into joining their cause. In the end though, Black Alice leaves both parties behind, taking off towards the US Air Force Museum. When the two groups follow her to the air field she reveals that she wasn't running from them but rather luring them away from her father's house so that he wouldn't have to see the things she planned on doing to them all.
In one last attempt to entice Alice, the Society reveals their "prize" - a reunion with her deceased mother. Though it came at the cost of having to sell several of the Society's members' souls to Neron, the ghostly visit initially looks as though it may have won Alice over. Unfortunately Alice soon realizes that her mother's appearance could only have come at the cost of her eternal slumber - something that displeases Alice greatly. She angrily strips both Faust and Cheetah of their magicks and banishes the Society as well as the Birds of Prey to the outskirts of town - with a warning never to come back to Dayton. With that done she and her father and mother return to their home, making yet another go at a peaceful and "normal" existence together.
