PLOT:
There's a short list of people with mix of bullheaded determination and lack of
morals necessary to sic US Fighter jets on a craft over sovereign ally territory. And topping off that list of suspects
in Barbara Gordon's mind is none other than her former Suicide Squad alum Katarina "Spy Smasher" Armstrong. Babs calls up her old frienemy and tries to use her hacking skills and
bevy of top secret information to barter some kind of truce between the two but Spy Smasher is one step ahead the whole time. When the ladies are forced to jettison themselves from the helicopter via Boom Tube and
fake their deaths they think they've got the government off their backs. But once they arrive at their destination and attempt to exchange Mr. Brennan they find themselves double crossed and held at gunpoint. They
try to radio Oracle for help but Barbara is indisposed at the moment, preparing to deal with the nosy investigative reporter Spy Smasher sent her way - a trained news hound by the name of Lois Lane! Complicating things even more,
as Barbara steps away from her desk to meet up with Lois, the former would-be-teenage Batgirl (now calling herself 'Misfit') steps in to answer the Birds' distress calls!
As the team deals with double-crossing federal agents one of their own is also deviating from the plan. Driving back from Desanada, Kate Spencer pulls off onto the side of the road and prepares to return
to the prison as her alter-ego Manhunter! It would appear as though helping the Birds spring Tabby Brennan was only part of Manhunter's objectives. As she returns to the corrupt Mexican prison she finds that
today's earlier commotion has convinced upper management to start transferring a slew of secret prisoners which Kate plans on rescuing!
