Mary Marvel is fighting Zatanna, mad because she thinks Zatanna won't show her real magic. Her anger is fueled by Eclipso. Zatanna is able to turn Mary's power against her, turning her back to normal and ejecting and barring her from Shadowcrest, Zatanna's home.

Jimmy Olsen wakes up in the JLA satellite after being beaten up by the various JLA members. His powers never activated and they could find no trace of them through testing.

Holly Robinson attends a purification ritual at the Athenian Women's Shelter that requires her to put on battle armor. Entering a room that looks like a gladiator arena, Athena tells them that today they become warriors. A battle begins among the women and Holly is forced to fight. Only her and a masked fighter are left standing at the end.

Karate Kid and Una are fighting Equus and Karate Kid manages to take him down. Mr. Orr, the man they came to see, is in contact with Checkmate who tell him to make contact with Karate Kid and help him.

The Monitors are watching Kyle Rayner on video monitors and referring to him as a death-cheater. The Monitors are advocating lethal force to deal with him and others like him.
