PLOT:
Trickster and Pied Piper are falling from a plane after escaping from Deadshot and Multiplex. Piper had grabbed a bag on his way out and it contains their equipment including Trickster's flying boots. With each of them wearing a boot they try to slow down their fall and they land in water. They survive the fall and find themselves in Gotham City. Trickster knows someone in Gotham who may be of help to them. Jimmy Olsen has made a costume for himself and adopted the name Mr. Action. Wearing the costume under his regular clothes he goes to work, drawing strange looks because of his heavy clothes on a hot day. Mary Marvel thinks about getting a mentor because of her recent rash actions. She is being observed by someone through an Eclipso jewel. Atom, Donna Troy, Jason Todd and a Monitor, who they call Bob, are travelling to the nanoverse looking for Ray Palmer. They land on a jungle world with men on mechanical frogs. Holly Robinson and Harleen Quinzel are watching the news where Wonder Girl and Supergirl have taken down Air Force One and are assumed to be part of the Amazon forces. This has caused a massive protest outside the Athenian Women's Shelter they are staying at. Harley goes out to challenge the protesters but is pulled back by Holly. Karate Kid is preparing to return to the 31st century with the rest of the Legion but is told by Brainiac 5 that he has to stay behind. One of Triplicate Girl's selves, Una, comes through the portal to join Karate Kid on his mission.

NOTE:
Two page end of issue story entitled, "History of the Multiverse, Chapter 9" in which the Monitors review the history of the DCU since INFINITE CRISIS ended. After New Earth was created it contained too much energy which it released, resulting in the birth of a multiverse with 52 universes. The next year saw Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman out of action and other heroes taking their place. Black Adam's protection of his country and loss of his family would lead to World War III; Ralph Dibny's search for a way to resurrect his wife would lead to his death; Lex Luthor would develop a program to create meta-humans; Batwoman and Supernova debuted; Renee Montoya became the new Question.
