PLOT:
In the DC Universe there exists 52 parallel worlds all vibrating at different frequencies with Earth as it's cornerstone. But this was not always
the case. Before the great Crisis there were infinite worlds.
Those infinite worlds would fall at the hands of the Anti-Monitor until the heroes of
Earth stepped forward and saved the day resulting in one single earth left standing. A second crisis would see the violent resurrection of 51 other universes.
While Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Spectre and Batman go about their business of saving the world none can quite shake the feeling of unease. A great evil is coming over the horizon,
perched and ready to destroy all that our heroes hold dear.
Superman battles shadow warriors alongside the Legion in the 31st Century. Meanwhile, the forces of Red Volcano, Professor Ivo and Doctor Poison gather soil samples from some of the most cursed and vile locations known to man in the hopes of
defeating Wonder Woman. And they aren't alone - a
team of Spartan men are poised to claim back man's place as protector from evil. Are the Amazons' days numbered?
Hal Jordon faces challenges of his own with the oncoming threat of more Lantern Corps and the prophecy of the Blackest Night.
The Spectre has not yet
ascended to the level of his predecessors. He finds himself using the powers of God's Wrath to invoke petty vengeance.
Batman travels to Arkham Asylum to conference with his greatest foe, The Joker.
He believes that some outside force may be trying to do what Joker was never
able to do - destroy the Bat. Joker refuses to tell Batman what he knows,
communicating mostly in ominous card hands while grinning up at the Dark Knight
with his face permanently scarred into a grotesque smiling shape.
Finally a villain long since lost into the ether, Libra, returns to Earth promising greater powers and abilities to any villain who joins his church of evil.
But for every villain returning, there must be a hero. For every pool of darkness there must be a ray of light. For every evil there must be a good. And one man has seen it all. He has seen the war in heaven and knows that
it was evil that triumphed. The only one who can see the giant shadow cast across the multiverse.
That man? Barry Allen.
His very existence rushing back to him in a flood of memories, Barry Allen is
set to return just in time to save the multiverse he has long since become one
with. |
