PLOT:
The Super Young Team saved countless lives when the Lord Eye tunnel was collapsing and now seem poised to become the world's most foremost teem of crimefighting teenagers. But
what's next? They're already Japan's hottest team, now their publicist Justin Hanover and his associate
Mister Itami want to expand to North America. And the best way to do that is by throwing a massive party!
The team is suddenly surrounded by sycophantic hangers-on, fabricated trophies and equipment no one seems to know how to even work inside of a giant
satellite base skipping across Earth's atmosphere.
Their party is full of nobodies and parasites. The only true way to be original these days, Superbat theorizes, is to be a superhero. And the people populating this party are far from it. Not even the JLA ("yesterday's heroes")
showed up to their party! The only "hero" there is a drunken Rising Sun whose
belligerent ranting about an Earth in peril gets him escorted out and teleported back home. The only excitement comes when
a promoter named Razzle makes a move on Shiny Happy Aquazon and shows his true face as a meta powered lizard "date-rape poster boy." The team rushes to her side and Big Atomic Lantern Boy takes him out with a massive blast from his
power lantern. But it's no matter. Shiny Happy Aquazon will never notice her stocky admirer. Sadly, it seems as her attention is focused on the speedster Well-Spoken Sonic Lightning Flash.
For all of the new base's technological advances, all Most Excellent Superbat wants to do is check the news on his handheld. Rumors are circling that Japan is under attack, with
massive destruction across several of its' major cities. But the neon lights are so bright they can't even see out of the station's windows to see if Earth itself is even there anymore!
Superbat steps away from the others as he tries in vain to get a signal but as he wanders through their trophy room he finds himself in the company of the larger than life spirit of
the original Ultimon, the monster killer! Ultimon's spirit tells Superbat that he is being called to greatness. Before fading away, the
specter urges the youth to open his eyes and see the world around him, to
accept his responsibility.
But the party, the bright lights, the pomp and circumstance - all if it is to distract the team from doing just that! Back on Earth a group of well to-do businessmen are determined to keep the world
ignorant of Japan's plight. Midway City lies in ruin, corpses of fallen Justifiers litter what's left of the streets. It's up to Mister Itami to keep the group from ever finding out what is going on back on Earth. Japan's next
generation of heroes must never be allowed to step up and try to save the day.
