PLOT:
The night before the biggest battle of their lives. The last night on Earth for some.
While others go to the Challengers Mountain to give their final (and in some cases first) confessions, most go to be with their families. Clark goes to Kansas to sit with his Father on the porch one final time. Diana and Donna bury their treasures like the ancient Greek warriors once did to ensure their safety and survival in battle. And Dick Grayson forgoes his parent’s gravesite to be with his true family – Bruce and Tim.
But for one person in particular, being with their beloved family members isn’t an option. Geo-Force sits quietly in his kitchen preparing to enact revenge on the man who caused the death of his sister – Deathstroke.
He corners the assassin on a rooftop high above the city. But the cunning one-eyed warrior named Slade has some tricks up his sleeves. He immobilizes Geo-Force and causes him to fall from the rooftop level to the ground below. It appears as though Geo-Force has been saved by a well placed dumpster to break his fall. But Geo-Force has planned everything to the minute detail – including the place he chose to do battle.
Slade realizes that Geo-Force has lured him to the site where his son’s throat was slashed so long ago. Refusing to let his memories get the best of him he challenges Geo-Force to fight him. Before Brion can even get half-way to Slade, Slade has sent his dual swords flying through the air, impaling Brion to the dumpster.
Slade tortures Brion saying that he is no different from his sister Terra and that the two possess the same evil. Looking defeated, Brion yanks the sword out of his thigh and uses it to slit his own throat.
Deathstroke rushes over to him angry over Geo-Force’s attempt to steal his victory from him. While Deathstroke kneels over Geo-Force shouting at him, Brion reaches up and uses the same sword to stab Deathstroke through the chest.
Although both men survive, Brion fails to mention his apparent suicide attempt (much the way his sister’s betrayal of the Titans was kept secret). For all intents and purposes it appears as though Geo-Force has finally gained his revenge against the evil Slade Wilson.
