PLOT:
Nightwing and Robin infiltrate Dr. Kendall's base. Inside, Kendall is preparing to scratch the latest batch of winged zombie warriors, by dropping them into the volcano's molten core. Nightwing and Robin intervene but are stopped short when Kendall activates his warriors.

Before the battle can go much further, Nightwing pleads to what is left of the zombies' human cognitive abilities by informing them of their inevitable fate waiting for them in the volcano's core. The flying zombies turn on Kendall who, in a fit of rage, uses his remote to trigger the neural bombs within the skulls of the zombies. Kendall's guards overtake Robin and force Nightwing into a brief retreat which they use to place Robin onto the conveyer belt which drops the zombies into the core.

Dick frees Tim before being deposited into the lava, who in turn uses one of his darts to destroy Kendall's neural bomb remote. Robin and Nightwing free more winged zombies and convince them that they now have a choice - they don't have to serve Kendall out of fear of their lives. After seeing the zombie mutiny, the demented doctor escapes to his rocket which he uses to flee the volcano. Before Kendall can detonate the explosions to destroy his lab and all of his creatures, Nightwing and Robin grab onto the wing of the rocket and ride it out of the lab.

Kendall may have destroyed his lab, but some of his creatures survived with their lives and their newly discovered free will. Now all Dick and Tim have to do is remember where they landed the new Bat-Plane (which had converted into a Bat-Sub) so that they can leave.
