Jason Bard happened to have some of the man-bat antidote. Robin got Francine first; she sent Aaron with him (Aaron was born as a man-bat, he was not transformed into one) to help bring in his father and sister. They evaded a big game hunter and returned the Langstroms to human form. Kirk, who'd never met his son, planned on trying to get him into human form as well.
