Tim returns from his weekend in the country and is delighted to see that his father has finally come out of seclusion. The week is uneventful until Thursday, when his family starts to act odd and his friends turn up out of the blue - it is Tim's sixteenth birthday, and he had entirely forgotten. In the midst of the festivities, a mysterious box is delivered by an unknown person, Tim refuses to open it, Concerned, Tim contacts Batman and the two of them begin to investigate the mysterious box. Once Batman leaves him, the box activates a hologram, a message from Alfred some time in the future...
