Robin faces the Dark Rider again - his host keeps being released from care and taken off his medication. This is their third encounter, and Robin tires of it. The next day, he tracks down the Rising Sun
Archer, but arrives at her apartment to find her bound and gagged, a 'present' from a well-wisher who signs their note simply 'V'. Robin questions her about who took out the contract on his life, learning that the Penguin is responsible. He and his newly-discovered uncle and guardian also arrange for Tim to be taken out of the school system. Meanwhile, Henry Aquista asks Johnny Warlock to bring his beloved daughter back to life. He pays
the price of his own life and Darla is reborn as the Warlock's Daughter.
