The Veteran gives Robin an offer that seems difficult to pass up. He wants to recruit him into his arm of the American army, which will vastly increase his effectiveness and also allow him to operate inside the law. However, although impressed with the Veteran and his crew, Robin needs time to think it over, and also to talk it over with Batman, who is highly
skeptical. When he returns to 'Uncle' Eddie's apartment, Darla Aquista is waiting for him. He's shocked to see her, as she's supposed to be dead. He's even more shocked when she says that the only price she has to pay for her return to life is that she must kill Robin. Only then can they be together...
