PLOT:
Vincent pleads with his boss (a rich looking older business man) to let him kill Detective Kirk for what he did with Vincent's detachable eyeball. The leader of the cult refuses saying that Kirk's "master" was a partner of their once and the last time
they tangled with Kirk's master they nearly lost their lives. Despite Vincent's incessant please for violence, the leader is in a good mood - "fear is up" he says as he looks at the newspaper. Vincent agrees not to kill either Kirk or Simon and leaves.
Rachel is writing in her journal and coming to terms with the fact that she is not afraid of her morbid protector. She actually feels a kinship with the patch-work hero. Beth drives by in the coroner van and Rachel runs after her. The two discuss Simon briefly before Beth begs Rachel to be careful. Beth returns to her coroner van and resumes following Detective Kirk to the churchyard.
Vincent has already arrived at the churchyard and is looking for Simon. He finds instead Simon's collection of books which consists of multiple copies of Moby Dick. Something about that collection strikes Vincent as funny but before he can get too much enjoyment out of the
supposed irony he is attacked by Simon's cat.
Tom and Beth arrive at the churchyard and find a scratched up Vincent limping towards them. Tom reminds Vincent that he warned him to stay away.
When Vincent takes a swing at him, Tom tackles Vincent and arrests him. Vincent offers to tell Beth all about their
mysterious past with one another but a kick to the gut silences the one eyed man. Tom places Vincent in his vehicle and drives away with him.
Also arriving at the churchyard is Rachel who finishes her conversation with Beth. Simon approaches them holding in one hand the body of the cat and the head in his other. "Somebody hurt Kitty. Can you help me put him back together?
