SOLICITATION:
Robin and Superboy take the spotlight in this special issue drawn by Transformers artist Pat Lee! The pair deals with the recent shocking revelations about Superboy's true origins. Will they let their mentors know?

ISSUE SUMMARY:
Superman and Batman have a job for their junior partners, Superboy and Robin. They want them to go to Japan and talk to Hiro Okamura - 'Toyman' - and offer him a job, designing Batman's vehicles and gadgets. The two elder heroes want to guide Hiro down the path to what is good and right, and they think that the younger heroes have a better chance of communicating with Toyman successfully. Robin and Superboy make their way to Japan and meet Hiro, but at that moment, John Corben (Metallo) escapes. Having been given a new humanoid body by Hiro, he steals one of the boy's robots and goes on the rampage. Hiro gives Superboy and Robin two other robots to help bring down Corben, and they do so, though not without causing a certain amount of collateral damage. Hiro says that working with them has been fun and agrees to Baman's offer on a case-by-case basis.
