PLOT:
Dimeter explains to Batman how Dr. Combs, taking inspiration from fiction writer H.P. Lovecraft, opened up a passage to the netherworld using his own body as an entry-point for the un-dead creatures. Dimeter reveals that unlike the other monsters, he is in fact not from the land of the un-dead but originally from Prague. Meanwhile, a very much still alive Dr. Combs creeps away into the night.
Though vulnerable to magic, Superman continues to battle the gigantic snail monster that only moments ago was Dr. Comb's lovely assistant. When one of his attacks goes out of control and endangers the lives of nearby civilians, Superman swoops in and saves the civilians which in turn allows the monster time to escape. While following the monster's trail of destruction through Gotham, his attention is diverted when he overhears the screams of a boy. Racing to the boy's aid he finds him under attack by a vampire. Superman side-steps the Vampire's attack and allows the vamp to impale itself on a nearby tree branch, killing it. After sending the boy home Superman is tackled by a werewolf who urges him to stay out of their business with Combs. Though able to get the upper hand against the beast, Clark is once again forced to allow a monster to escape when he hears the boy scream a second time. Arriving at the house too late, Superman finds that the boy was attacked by Dr. Combs after returning home.
Meanwhile, Batman and Dimeter continue to follow a path that leads them directly to a werewolf attack in progress in the Gotham City park. They attempt to save the police officers under attack but it's too late - the werewolf had crushed and eaten part of the officer's skull and what's worse - the scent of blood seems to be atracting several other vampires who begin to circle them. After succumbing to his vampiric impulses and feeding on one of the werelwoves, Dimeter leaves Batman to continue his search for Combs to stop all of this un-dead madness. Finding himself surrounded by vampires, Batman is luckily saved by Jason Blood and Green Arrow, who arrives just in the nick of time with plenty of wood-tipped arrows in his quiver.
