The Joker takes a break from his daily exercise routine of banging his head against a wall to tell us all a story about the power of one man's obsessive quest for
revenge.
Penguin rescues a woman named Violet from a life of black market slavery and the two fall in love. Things fall apart quickly however when Penguin's childhood insecurities get the best of him and he
goes to extreme lengths just to ruin the life of a man who might (or might not) have been laughing at him. Violet finds out about this and breaks it off. Although Penguin decides to
spare Violet's life he has her sold back into slavery.
Unfortunately it seems as though Oswald Cobblepot learns once again that 'he who laughs last'... often times laughs alone.
