PLOT:
Gordon signals for Batman's help. It seems someone has kidnapped a prominent investment banker by the name of Franklin Glass, promising that he would be executed come midnight. The only problem is that whoever kidnapped him never even asked for a ransom. And as the clock strikes midnight, Batman and Gordon already have a murder on their hands and a murderer to track down.

PLOT:
Superman is dealing with another alien invasion of Metropolis when suddenly the alien whom he is pummeling cries out to him telepathically, stopping him in his tracks. It knows that Superman is an outsider, an alien just like itself.

PLOT:
Granted an extended life after death by the Rama Kushna, the former high-flying acrobat Boston Brand developed a taste for crime fighting as he sought out vengeance against the criminal known as 'The Hook' who had taken his life. Now he floats in and out of crime scenes trying solve the mystery and gain a sense of meaning to his after-life. The case in front of him is a particularly gruesome one. The killer apparently likes to brand a symbol into the forehead of his victims before eviscerating them. And it isn't long before Boston is face to face with this foe.

And it's a shame too, remarks his would be love interest Carol Ferris, because Gemini astronaut Joe Dillon is on the tube! It's just a shame that Hal is busy at the moment fighting evils in deep space!
