Yeah, the Prof. X thing is a shame because Stewart's my first pick. Check out the movie Conspiracy Theory. He is sooooo creepy in that.
The only problem with Ben Kingsley is that movie's with him as the villain tend to be pretty horrible... For instance; Bloodrayne, Species and Thunderbirds, just to name a few.

XP Who cares what the X-Men fans say.
I mean, Hugh Jackman is in everything and people love him for it. Same with Christian Bale & other people who've been in comic book type movies. Just saying.

@Raz, I know what you mean about Conspiracy Theory...Stewart reminded me of Lawrence Olivier in The Marathon Man (nothing worse than a creepy dentist). As for Kingsley, I saw him in Species and I saw him more as misguided and not truly evil.
@Erin, I guess you are right beside I thought he was the best Star Trek Captain and I loved him as Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol...It's not just one role but the body of work an actor does that counts, it's just that some actors/actresses are so well known for certain parts we can't see them in any other part or see another actor/actresses that a previous actor/actress made famous. (Connery as Bond for one) |

Actually I can see Connery in one other part.... He could soooooo play Deathstroke if they were to make a Titans movie........... way off topic just saying LOL

Unfortunatley, Sean Connery is retired... So no Deathstroke for him.
And I think what Buckeye was saying is that a lot of people can't imagine any body other than Connery playing Bond.

@Raz...you have that partially right, what I was saying is that when an actor plays a part so many times people see him or her in only that role or certain type of role (Connery as Bond, Shatner as Kirk, John Wayne as a Cowboy or Soldier), it becomes so iconic that people can't see the actor as anything but that role. |

I think there is a very good chance the Batman 3 rumor is true. Goyer just cleared up his schedule; the only film Jonah has in the future is Interstellar, which he has already written; C. Nolan has nothing scheduled after Inception; Christian Bale is only attached to two films, one of which has already been filmed; and Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, and Gary Oldman only have one film coming out each in the next year.
I dunno, but it looks a lot to me like the preverbial planets are aligning.

Yeah, I'm falling for it too. Goyer has already confirmed these projects: a possible Daredevil reboot, FlashForward, Deadpool (a maybe), X-Men: First Class, and Ghost Rider 2 (the story behind the script is pretty interesting if you search it on Google)...

I would like to see DareDevil (original not bad, but Ben Affleck not really superhero material to me), FlashForward is addictive I have to see what happens and I liked the X-Men films and want to see where they go with it, |

Goyer dropped out of FlashForward, that's the source of this whole rumour in the firstplace. And he was never attached to First Class, he was writing Magneto but Fox dropped it in favor of a First Class script written by Zak Penn. Neither is he writing Deadpool, that's being done by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (writers of Zombieland). And Daredevil's writer is confirmed to be David Scarpa (The Day The Earth Stood Still)
So the only movie he is working on is Ghost Rider 2, and I think that's mostly written already.

Yeah, he's just revising it. Apparently he wrote it when he was a teenager and had a ton of rated R material in it so now he has to tone it down. But I heard differently about the other projects he was doing, but that was a few months ago in August so...

And I can't dig up the article at the moment, but there is a quote out there where either Bryan Singer or Lauren Schuler Donner mentions that X-men Origins: First Class circumvents Goyer's Magneto script as First Class is about the early relationship between a young Xavier and Magneto.

The update for B3 gave me an idea for it, now knowing that it's the last Batman movie before World's Finest or a Justice League movie.
It would be like a finale; epic and serious. The MCU is on the Batman case but another case has come up. It's a new serial killer claiming credit for the deaths of Harvey Dent, Rachel Dawes, and the Batman. For some reason, he is trying to get Gotham to focus on him rather than the fear of the Batman. Jim Gordon tells Gotham in a press conference that Batman has been deceased however, he keeps to himself about the source of the letter received from the new threat who turns out to be Edward Nashton, writer at the Gotham Times. The name "Riddler" is mentioned on a rooftop when Jim Gordon chases him down and asks: "Well, if your just like the rest, what are you going to call yourself?!"
Meanwhile, Bruce is remembering the reason why his parents were killed... It was for him to one day protect and serve Gotham City in her time of need (as stated in the Loeb/Sale series) despite if Gotham says they need him or not. He wants to make his life worth while and make everything he's done matter. The point of the movie (like the others, fear and apathy) is hope. In the ending of the movie, Bruce meets Vicki Vale, replacement of Edward Nashton at the Gotham Times, when she asks for an interview with him, he ignores her for a second and then looks back and looks into her eyes and slightly grins saying "sure." Also, Jim Gordon would go back to the aid of Batman. On the rooftop of the MCU, Jim mentions another new threat; Black Mask.

Eh, too much focus on Riddler, and I don't think Bruce struggling with his Batman persona is a good plot for the third.
TDK was about Bruce having hope for a day he could give up being Batman. At the end of the movie, however, he sees that Batman is needed for Gotham and he gives up that hope for the good of others. As Alfred said, he needs to endure. They'll hate him for it, but that's the point of Batman. So in the next movie Batman needs to be a resolute, immovable object. He needs to be 100% commited to Batman or else it will completely contradict the ending of The Dark Knight. If either of the "personas" is going to falter; it will be Bruce, not Batman.

What villains have we decided on so far? I'm interested in Penguin, Riddler (obviously), Mad Hatter, Black Mask, Firefly, Deathstroke, Calendar Man (Loeb version), Bane, Clock King, and the Phantasm as Chris said. Either way, there should be an unknown like Clock King mixed with a well known like Riddler. Since this will be the last Batman movie I think that we should see cameos of villains such as Kirk Langstrom, a scientist at Wayne Enterprises's bat research being forced to help the search for Batman.
I had another idea for an opening; Jim Gordon, Bullock, and Montoya are in a helicopter looking for Killer Croc after he escaped from treatment in Arkham. The spotlight on the helicopter follows Killer Croc, running away as fast as he can. Killer Croc is lost from the light. The helicopter spotlight tries to find him again. The light scrolls over what looks to be the silhouette of the Batman, standing in the middle of the street, dragging Killer Croc, knocked out.
Here's some more title ideas: Knight Strike, Gotham Dawn, Watchful Protector, New Gotham, Gotham Guardian
