Well, to be fair, the movie has to get beyond the comic book fans to suceed. Therefore, there NEEDs to be a lot of action, and the dective aspect had to toned down. So yea, Batman has been weakened a little, but its certainly not that big of detriment. Besides, plenty of time for dective work in the sequel as he tries to track down Joker.
