Michael Crawford's got a nifty review on this new, large scale figure. It's basically a 12" version of the DC SuperHeroes Series 3 Batman with the same display base as 12" Zipline Batman. Awarding only two stars, Crawford didn't exactly give it a great rating. CLICK HERE to see for yourself.

I picked on up today. I think it looks great, but sad that the articulation is not the same as the smaller one. It?s better than the previous 12? Batman that?s for sure. There is a Superman one also based on the Wave 2 Superman. I hope to get one cheaper when they go on clearance.

I know this sounds weird, but I think all 12" action figures need fabric clothing. Some of my best childhood memories were from playing with my 12" Star Wars figures. It's a shame I never got my hands on the Hasbro Batman to Bruce Wayne 7" figure, I would have had so much fun with it.

Yea I think fabric clothing for tall action figures is better! And I dont like the way the utility belt looks, its kinda too bulgey but other than that it looks good. I really like that two-face though! And based on the picture of him giving batman the horns I think thats pretty cool how you can move each finger on them individualy.

The Two Face figure has wires through the fingers of a set of hands. Those are what allow for quite a few hand poses.

The overall sculpt of this new 12" Batman is so different than the Zipline version, I'm not quite sure which I like better. Either way, I'm not surprised at the retracted articulation, and I'll probably pick this one up if I see it. Some of Crawford's photos make the new one look all hunched over and bulky; reminds me of DKR in a bad way. Love that belt though.

he looks like a mix between the DKR and HUSH batmen.
i like the small figure better. his mouth seems too low in the 12" one.

The 12? version is the same figure as the smaller one, except for less articulation and a couple other small things. The Bat Logo is etched in the smaller one, not so on the 12?. I guess that makes it easier to repaint with a different Logo. The mouth is in the same place on both.
I'll do Reviews soon. I was tied up another project the last few weeks.

Looking forward to your review.

However, curiously enough, some larger scale figures do look different than the original, smaller version. I thought the difference between the conventional Justice League Flash's Jay Leno chin and his 10" counterpart's was pretty strange. Just an interesting note...

I took my nephew to TRU today and saw this. It is AWESOME. It costs about twice what it ought to, though. Think I'll wait and see if it goes on clearance. The Superman was okay.

It's a good figure, but it is way overpriced. Here's my review of it.

They're all long gone here. Still plenty of the 12" Superman, though.
