"We will be releasing several different versions of the 1966 Batmobile in Hot Wheels, both in the basic car line as well as other lines and other scales. This is the only place you can get the official '66 TV series Batmobile. The team is working with Warner Brothers, DC Comics, and of course, George Barris on these. Look for an official Press Release at the begining of November at SEMA, and we may have some sneak peaks information Saturday Night at the 20th Collectors Convention in Anaheim.

"They said there's going to be larger scale versions and some of the scales will have different quality/detail versions available. Including a super-accurate 1:18 version. They showed a few drawings but it's basically THE batmobile, which kind of says it all. Noone was booing that's for sure."

As Mattel rolls into mid 2007 we will start to see some 40th Anniversary items go into production, Rest assured we will have all the lines including the ?Since 68? products and the 60?s TV Show Batmobile. Please watch the website for these and other announcements.

"In recognition of the occasion, Mattel will produce multiple scales of the Hot Wheels? Batmobile, including a 1:64th scale model that will appear on store shelves in Spring 2007 in the Hot Wheels? basic car line. In Fall 2007, there will be an additional 1:64th scale model introduced as well as a 1:43rd scale replica model and a 1:18th scale, which will have three levels of detail and finish. The ultimate version, the Hot Wheels Elite.. special edition Batmobile, will have enough detail to delight even the most discriminating of Batmobile collectors."
