Hello all,
Unfortunately it's with great sadness that I must inform everyone that Michael Turner tragically passed away last night, June 27th at approximately 10:42 pm in Santa Monica, Ca. Turner had been dealing with recent health complications arisen in the past few weeks. More details concerning Turner's passing, and services, will be given shortly.

That's very sad, and at only 37 years old no less. I've read about his problems with cancer but haven't thought about that in a long while. If I remember correctly, he was wheelchair bound from cancer-related surgery.
I'm sure for a lot of fans, Turner's style was one of the top representatives of modern comic art. Probably my favorite work of his was in the "Supergirl from Krypton" story from when I started getting back into buying comics regularly. I'm sure his Identity Crisis covers will also go down as very iconic. If nothing else, it's good that his unique style got to represent most of the major comic characters in both DC and Marvel.
By the way, Chris, it's spelled "Michael," not "Micheal."

He was a great artist with a unique style that fit in well with superhero comics. I'll miss him.

Wow, I can't believe it. That's a very tragic thing to have happened at such a young age no matter who it is. I really enjoyed his art work in the Supergirl arc on Batman/Superman.

Wow...that's sad. I've always liked his work since the "Supergirl" arc in Batman/Superman. At one time I believe he was my favorite artist. I loved his style, it just looked fantastic.
