Come on then peeps, let's get those theories flowing. What does it all mean?
I'm defiantly going with the two-sided Batman as Two-Face, but he is also going with the Red and Black theme from R.I.P. so possible Joker rouse going on there?
The Batman to the left has a Bow-Staff, so I'm going with Tim Drake. Not sure who that could be on the right standing behind Damien (If that's him), either Dick Grayson or Hush after his plastic surgery to make him look like Bruce in Detective Comics, Heart of Hush run?

Here's what I think personally the order goes Tim, Harley (I wonder why she's even there?), Alfred, Dick, Two-Face, Azrael, Batwoman, Damian, and Bruce.
I think Bruce because Morrison said that Bruce wouldn't want to be Batman after what happens in Final Crisis/R.I.P. |

It ain't Azrael, the original died, and there's a new one coming out with his own mini-series, so how would that work?

My thinking is the one with the guns would be Jason Todd. All three Robins would be in a bat suit. The "bruce" is hush, note the bandage on the leg(not to mention detective comics)
Not sure about the limp arm, looks to be feminine i read some talk about Viki Vale, im not sure how i feel about that, or it could be Selina's.
Notice the penny is scratched like Two Face's coin.
I can't think of anything special with the backwards J or harley.

There's a new super-powered Nightwing being introduced in the "New Krypton" storyline in Superman and Action Comics, so it's looking increasingly likely that Dick will be Batman, Damian will be Robin, and Tim will be Red Robin or take up a new identity.

are you talking about the Dr. Light from Identity Crisis? Because he was turned into a candle in the Final Crisis Tie in. I think it was revelations. The chick Dr. light is on the titans. The wildcats are father and son.
The only way i will be ok with any changes in status, is if in the end Bruce is back on the mantle. I can deal with Dick and only Dick as a temporary Batman. I like the idea of Red Robin for Tim. No thank you to damian tho. Im still agaist the fact that he is Bruce's real kid. I want Jason Todd back to being Red Hood, and a villan.
I dont like Superman's story arc right now, or this new Nightwing. I would like it if it turned out, they canceled "Robin" to make him a new title "Red Robin" So Tim isnt out of a comic book series.

the batman on the far left i think he is tim and then the one in the middle is probably dick then the two colored batman is probably two-face and then the batman crouched in the front is hush... the guy next to damien.... i think that is bruce wayne

Personaly, I can't stand any of this. It just-- idk, I like it like this.
Batman is Bruce Wayne and he is totally sane.
Robin is Tim Drake cuz Grayson left to become
Nightwing is Grayson, who moved on
Jason Todd is dead.
Azrael is gone.
Batgirl is Barabara Gordon (but I'm OK with Cassandra, just not with Babs being paralytic)
Maybe a more practical approach to Cassandra Cain is Batwoman?
I dunno I'm just whining cuz I have really gotten tense.

i know i'm late, but i finally caught up with the batman craziness. going way back from R.I.P to battle for the cowl. things are going crazy.
i still not clear what happened in between R.I.P. and final crisis though...i must have missed something. tim thinks batman is crazy, then BAM! batman disappears, kills darkseid, then dies. hahaha. well w/e.
anywho..maybe it's just me, but i'm kinda liking this bruce is dead story. while i know it sucks, it does leave room for some crazy interesting plot lines. batmen everywhere, a red robin coming up soon - i'm loving every bit of it. from the looks of it so far, i'm thinking tim drake and red robin will be my favorites. while i have no idea who the red robin is, i love the design. hahahaha.
but yeah...dick grayson will be an ok batman until bruce comes back. oh, he will come back. probably next year i'm guessing.

Unless Tony pulls off some huge unanticipated conclusion in the third instalment, none of the supposed 'teasers' in this promo mean anything to the story.

I'm a little disappointed by Battle for the Cowl, and I blame this teaser for it. :-P
I was expecting Hush to use his Bruce Wayne facelift to manipulate Damian, who really seeks his father's acceptance and approval. I expected Alfred to be out in the field, doing something other than his usual background stuff. I expected Harley Quinn to actually be in it. And despite the apparently-dead hand in that crate, nobody really died in Battle for the Cowl. Except maybe Jason Todd, but even so, that hand clearly isn't his.
Not to mention, the teaser made it out to look like everyone would be dressing up like Batman and fighting, when really the Robins are the only ones that fought, and two of them were on the same side. I wanted to see Two-Face's awesome costume in action!
Don't get me wrong, Battle for the Cowl was awesome, I loved it, but I was upset that the teaser had so much that wasn't in the series. What was the point?

I'm not sure what the image in the very first post means. Anyway, I'm bad about not reading comics...I just like to look at the pictures. I saw images from Battle For The Cowl here on the site. I saw images from BFTC: THE UNDERGROUND. Uh....I think you know where I'm going with this...I DID SEE THE IMAGES OF THE PENGUIN IN THAT ISSUE AND I LOVED THEM!

He looks strangely like Danny Devito's Penguin in The Underground. I liked Tony Daniels' art in the original Battle for the Cowl series a lot more. You should check those out if you haven't already, Penguin shows up a few times in 2 and 3. He's really well-drawn.
But, you really should READ the comics. The plots are pretty interesting, and there's way more to Batman than the Penguin's looks. You're missing out on a lot. |
