God I love this one!!!
One of my all time favorites EVER!!
I sometimes wonder why Batman doesn't just KILL the damn clown and just be done with it. But the Killing Joke always reminds me of why..
"We have to show him that our way is right!" - James Gordon
Pound for pound, I think it is the best Batman TPB ever!

I want to read it so bad, but I can't find it anywhere! Not at the library, not as Barnes and Nobles, and I haven't seen it at my comic store! |

Well I feel that the Joker is the one villain that Batman would like to kill the most, and I definatley see him as the most psychopathic!

DC always keeps this one in print. You should be able to order it at any comic or book store or website. It's a favorite of mine, too. Best Joker story ever. That goes for the art, too. There have been many great interpretations of the
Joker-- Jim Aparo, Neal Adams, Graham Nolan, Norm Breyfogle-- but nobody can touch Bolland when it comes to drawing the perfect Joker.

Heheh, the image is from an old Hostess ad where Batman fights Catman. He winds up tying to a tree, then he and Robin eat twinkies in front of him.

Killing Joke is great! The only thing I don't like is the zany, out of control colours throughout the story, but that's probably just to reflect Joker's personality. I also thought the Red Hood suit could do with a little bit of updating, but it's still good.
In the shadows I saw my destiny...
I would seek justice...
I would have my revenge... |
