Thanks for the post inzo, it looks like three different cars to me.
The top one has the scallops on the fins cut further forward into the car than the middle one. The teardrops behind the seats is much shorter than the bottom car
The middle one shows a jet turbine exhaust, but the same ?tube? for it on the back is not present on the other two models.
The bottom one has a fender flare that covers the rear wheel, while the other two do not.
The car is clearly influenced by the Super Powers Batmobile and the Corvette (wheels and nose of top car) of the time. Still a really nice car that should have been produced.

Nice find, Inzo - very cool! I think you're right with the sources, Flabat, but I think the top two are supposed to be the same car. If the center tube is supposed to be the parachute pack, it could be shallow enough that it wouldn't effect their "pop-up crime lab" thing. I think they may have just drawn more or rlss detail on the individual views to show more (or less) detail. I definitely like the late '70s/early '80s vibe it has. Definitely would have been nice to see in scale, and yeah - 1/24 would have been ideal. |
