I have started writing a batman story i am calling "Batman:Broken" This story will not feature batman as the legendary Batman, but will showcase his faults and his coping with his human side, his struggle to solve a case that even the worlds greatest detective seems to have no lead on. It will show an interesting side of the batman. I've only recently started writing so this is all i have finished so far. Hope you like it, and hope you guys comment on what you think so far
Batman: Broken
Part 1
He sits in the cave. He sits silently, Thinking, Tired. His whole existence can be traced to a single moment. A man with a gun, a bang...and pearls hitting the floor.
One after the other. He can vividly see every pearl hit the ground in his mind, as he sits, tired. He sinks further into his chair, and upon further scrutiny, one can see the irony, of one so legendary and big as he, looking so small and insignificant, sinking lower into his chair. He has been on the case of a new serial killer for about 2 months now. This new serial killer has claimed 15 lives thus far, and the world?s greatest detective has yet to acquire a lead on this subject. The Fog, as he or she calls himself or herself, has eluded everyone, disappearing as quickly as its victims are killed.
Before he can give it any further thought the bat-signal is raised. He picks himself up slowly. His effort is dismal. Half an hour passes and Jim Gordon is about to turn off the signal when he hears a barely audible crack behind him, he turns around and sees, The Legendary Dark Knight, Batman.
?Holy...that is the first time I have ever heard you!?
?I am...tired...? batman said
?Maybe you should take it easy with this case huh? Me and the force could handle one day without you?
?Not a chance Jim...crime NEVER sleeps. So what do you know??
?Nothing about the fog, if that?s what you were hoping for, but we know some of Falcone?s men are preparing to start war with the Corleone family. Some Falcone muscle can be found at the Gotham Docks making preparations for the war. Me and my force were just going to?

and Batman vaults off the building disappearing into the dense night and fog of Gotham City.
Batman lands on a roof near the Docks. He takes out his binoculars and prepares to engage the thugs. But what he sees, is the LAST thing he expected. The thugs have been murdered. He makes his way quickly over to the thugs and finds a note near one of the dead thugs.
?What was done to me was inhumane, a warning to the culprits, your sins have NOT been forgotten. Sincerely, The Fog." Upon reading the note, Batman was instilled with rage.
?WHO IS THE FOG!?? Batman yelled
