The heroes of Marvel comics are splitting in two! A disagreement on how to act on a huge subject has cause a Civil War! Civil War is a seven issues series, and you can buy the first issue today.

My brother bought the first issue, and I must say after reading it, it's quite good. The art is very awesome and the story just makes you want to keep coming back for more.

Go to www.marvel.com for more info, even a trailer!

I have pretty much quit all Marvel titles, but this sounds like it could be a good story. What Marvel I do read is in trade.

Slap some spoiler warnings up and let we who don't get to read this one know what is going on.

Okay, I'll try to explain this as best as I can:

There's two sides, one which Captain America is leading and the other Iron Man. The government wants the Super Heroes to wear badges and uncover their secret idenity. So to make it short, Iron Man agrees with the government and Captain America doesn't. Personally, I'm with Cap', Super Heroes aren't just suped-up police officers.

Awesome drawing by Michael Turner. But it's the variant cover for issue #1.

So...who's side are you on? Go to www.marvel.com and vote.

So Captain America, whose identity is known by the government, is opposed to the government knowing the heroes identities? Iron Man, who successfully maintained (he may still, I don't know) a secret identity for years, wants the heroes to be outed. That is pretty much opposite of what I thought it would be.

The government regulating the heroes thing sounds pretty cool. When the heroes reveal themselves, do they reveal it to the public or just some government agency (SHIELD)?

I may have to pick up the trade for this. It sounds pretty cool.

The government wants the heroes' identies to be known by everyone. Which, is bad in my opinion. For heroes like Spider-man, it's putting all their familys in danger. Iron Man's cool, but I have to disagree with him.

The entire Civil War is branching out into a bunch of different titles, but, instead of buying those, I would just go with the main books, I doubt you'll miss anything.

That's actually a cool idea. I got a freebie for this a few months back that was just pure black & white sketches. I try and stick with DC, but maybe my brother will pick this story up.

I think having the superheroes work under a code and as government controlled officers kind of makes some sense as a real-world scenario. That vigilante stuff probably wouldn't fly (no pun intended) in most areas. But having their identities revealed to the world would of course be dangerous and dumb.

Okay, in case you guys haven't heard...

Spider-man's trashing the secret idenity! He's revealing to the world that he is Spider-man! Big news for comic fans, and even for the rest of the world.

I don't really like this, but, I guess things change sometimes. This has been confirmed by the people at Marvel, by the way, that this is not a scandal or whatever, this is real.

Go here and scroll down the bottom of Spidey's bio. http://www.marvel.com/universe/Spider-Man_%28Peter_Parker%29

Wow!
