For those who are unfamiliar with the series, Darkwing Duck was one of the better Batman parodies that have been produced over the years. It was originally part of the Disney Afternoon back in the early 1990s, and although it is kid-friendly it was produced before some of the stricter regulations we have today (so there are instances of gunplay, off-screen deaths, etc.).

Season 2 came out today, which includes the episode "Time and Punishment," a story paying heavy tribute to The Dark Knight Returns (at one point in the episode, a disturbance is reported at the corners of Miller and Varley). If you're looking for something fun to watch with the kids or want to see a decent homage to much of the DC universe, you might want to check it out. It's no B:TAS, but it's a pretty fun little show.

When I was a tot, I used to eat animal crackers and watch Darkwing Duck... I was just having flash-backs to that earlier today, I hadn't even realized they were releasing a DVD today!

Really? I didn't realize they ever went that far to reference Batman. I'll definitely look into that.

I've actually been thinking about this show a lot lately with its crazy villains and memorable theme song (I can't get "Better watch out, you bad boys!" out of my head). I have the TV commercial for Darkwing Duck action figures on VHS too, which I'll try and get on here soon. It has some funny narration from the actual voice actors.
