U of M gets major collection -- of comic books
The article is written by the wife of the guy who donated his collection of around 40,000 comics. The video on the page is really nice to watch as well.
I personally really enjoyed the article not necessarily because of the size of the collection, but the impact that comics have had on this family.
The other day, my 18 month old daughter looked at a pair of socks she was wearing that had Bat-emblems on them. She said, "Ooo Batman." I was at work, but my wife almost immediately called me to tell me about this. I went out and bought her a Super Friends Batman (she has a DC Direct Wonder Woman, DC Superheroes Supergirl and Batman/Batgirl two pack for when she is older).
When I got the new toy home she seemed to want it out of the package and played with it for a bit. Needless to say I am very proud. Now we can ask her, "Where is Batman?" and she'll go find the toy.
It's nice to see that I'm not really alone in having a family that at least has some interest in comics.

That was an amazing story. And I'm glad your daughter has entered the ranks of Batman fans lol
