Besides Jim Gordon and Batman himself, he's my favorite Batman character. He's one to make a lot of good quotes. Have any favorites? "Nevah'" counts.
Mine is in my signature.
"Things are always going to get worst before they get better."

I agree with you, Alfred has to be one of the greatest characters in the Batman mythos. He has an infinite number of great quotes.
Here's my favorite line from 1989 Batman (not just Alfred, but from the whole movie.)
"I have no wish to fill my few remaining years grieving the loss of old friends. Or their sons."
Also, a favorite from Batman Forever:
"Broken wings mend in time. One day Robin will fly again. I promise. "
And of course from Mask Of The Phantasm:
(Batman is called a madman on TV)
"What rot! Why, you're the very model of sanity! Oh, by the way, I pressed your tights and put away your exploding gas balls"
The whole Burma story from TDK is another favorite. As well as the scene after Rachel's death.
Never start with the head; the victim gets all fuzzy!

Mine has to be the "Nevah!" quote, love that part in the movie. I'm sure there's some other quotes I like by him, but I can't think of them off hand at this point. |

I think of Alfred from BTAS and The Batman and recall they had a good line or two from time to time.
