I slept til 1:30, then we went to my parents, had a nice lunch, did our Christmas lists, then I went to sleep..LOL ( I work 3rd.. I work tonight also)

We're now getting ready to put the Tree up.. it's our tradition.

Then I get to go to work.. yay!

I went to meet some of my folks at a camp ground about 3 hours away from my house , but it's all good.

For me, and probably a lot of other people, right after Thanksgiving is when the Christmas season really begins. We have yet to get our tree, maybe tomorrow. Ah...There's no time like the Holidays.

I went to my brother's today. Watched 3/4ths of Batman Begins, then watched Revenge of the Sith with a crapload of loud, annoying people around (not the best environment for such an emotional film). Caught up a little on Toyfair while I was at it.

I still have Thanksgiving at my uncle's Friday, and a small one here Sunday for my poor uncle's trailer trashy family. I'm not sure how I'll get through those hours. Maybe I'll bring a book to read. embarrassed

The holidays came up way too fast. People have my Jesus Birthday presents already and I haven't even though about what I'll get anyone.

I went to bed around 5:00 am, got up at 10:00, and went to my parents' to help with the final preparations. I already made a huge bowl of potato salad yesterday-- I season it really well, and it always goes fast, so I made an extra big bowl this year-- so everything was in place by the time everyone else arrived. I also took "The Simpsons" Season 2 DVDs, as one of our little traditions is watching that season's Thangsgiving episode with my neice and nephew. After all that was over, I helped clean up and hung around the house for a while. I went with my parents to see Walk the Line, and by the time that let out, it was time to go home.

we had Thanksgiving dinner at our place, my Dad came over to eat withus. everyone else went to my Mom's place. usually in the evening we go over to Moms but we got some snow and the roads were bad, so we decided to just stay home the whole day. which was fine, i caught up on my sleep, i only had about 6 hours in 2 days because of work.

Pretty low-key for us. Dinner was at 2, then the rest of the day was just hanging out. We probably won't start getting ready for Christmas for another three weeks, that seems to be our tradition Smile
