As a testament to how effect my 4 years with the Batesville High School Band was (in the drum section no less), I really really suck at this game. For the first time ever there was a big opening at Best Buy on the demo unit, and having never played GH 1 or 2, I thought I would give it a shot. I think that I got one thing right. I figured that I had heard sharp dressed man enough to be able to play it on easy, but not so good.

Do I just have no sense of rhythm anymore or did you guys have a bit of a learning curve when you first played with the guitar controller?

Dude, you couldn't have possibly screwed up as much as I did the first time I used the controller; first I tried use the fret-board with my right hand while it was in left hand mode, then for about two tries I tried to figure out how two use the strum-bar, and of course the first song I chose was "Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart", but my left hand's coordination isn't good enough to do the "Red---, Yellow, Red, Green---" manouver; so I pretty much sucked in spades.

Thanks guys, that makes me feel better about it. Usually things like this are not as complex (Donkey Konga) so I can pick up on it quickly. Of course the complexity seems like it would make Guitar Hero last longer. I got bored with Donkey Konga pretty fast. I will probably get this when I get a PS2 after the price drop.

On a Guitar Hero sort of note - I saw Rancid at Brixton last night.

They were.............fantastic. Best I've ever seen them.

Not sure how many BatmanYTBers like them - but for those who do, last night they were on fire!
