Well it looks like I may not get this costume done by this year!! Lol!! I changed my mind and I'm pretty sure I want to try to make the latex body armor. It would be pretty simple, since I wouldn't be sculpting muscles and stuff. And it would look more professional!! Plus that stupid vinyl catsuit fits wierd. I've had to take it back to the store like 3 times for different sizes. The small fit, but I couldn't plan on eating on halloween, the medium fit, but I couldn't bend my knees (just stand and look cute) , and the large is too big. Don't buy anything from leg avenue!! (of course you probably wouldn't since I think you're all guys I'm talking to) lol!! Well I'll have a whole year to work on it, and you guys can give me suggestions.
I think for the cape I'll use the length for the one I'm selling. If it doesn't sell, I'll have to use that cape!!
The logo, I like the shape of it I think, but I'm debating on the texture.
Do you guys think I should make the chest peice and the corset both out of latex or just the chest peice, and make the corset out of the vinyl material as a seperate peice?

If you need any help with the sculpting I know a website that has a few pics of the screen used B&R chest piece, cowl and belt, as well as a fan made BOP torso.
http://www.batmanunmasked.com/thumbnails.php?album=67
Pics of screen used Schumacher props including the B&R Batgirl chest piece and cowl ans well as the Forever Sonar and Onstar Commercial belts( the later is on the second page).
http://www.batmanunmasked.com/displayimage.php?album=57&pos=99
Pic of a fanmade modified version of the torso, scroll down for three more pics, inluding two with the BOP emblem and one with the Forever belt buckle.
batboy99 wrote the reason alicha didnt wear a full cowl was because she said it hurt her head so they went with the little mask
Techniclly it hurt her hair; when they first tried to remove it it pulled on her hair, so she decided that she wouldn't wear it. She also whined about how uncomfortable the suit was, even though it was made of a lighter material then what Clooney and O'Donnel were wearing (and they were wearing material lighter than what Keaton wore.). So all in all, yes she was a complete wimp devoid of any determination or selflessness to make sacrifices necissary for the movie, and she would have sucked even if she had red-hair.
P.S. It's sort of a Schumacher tradition to cast actors who don't have the right hair color of the character and are to wooden to pull the part off.

Thank you so much!!! Those pictures will definitly help!!!! There's some amazing fanmade batgirl costumes there!! Is the batgirl mask shown the one Alicia was suppose to wear? The shoulders look a little tough to move in. I'll have to think about whether or not I want to cut those down. Looks like they had the chest piece and the corset in 2 pieces for the movie. I think it would probably be easier to move in that way. But it might look better in 1 piece....
I won't finish this for halloween this year, but I've got a year to work, and it will probably be worth the wait.

LMAO!!!!! You're right!! I wonder if Dina Meyer ever complained about the costume when she was batgirl in bop.
Well my cape ends in 2 days...

With the corset, are you planning on having it showing outside the suit like a piece of body armor? Vinyl might work well, but then again, I have yet to really work in this craft. Sounds like you're planning on making a great quality suit. Hopefully it'll give me some pointers for making my own Batsuit.
This has turned into more of a thread for Fan~Fun, but I s'pose it's fine here.

Yeah, the corset will be on the outside like in the bop and b&r batgirl costumes. I want my costume to look really professional. It should cost me like $200 by the time I finish. Considering that the collector's edition of batgirl's b&r costume is $400, that's pretty good!! And that one is made out of foam covered with vinyl, instead of latex. It's pretty cheap looking for $400!!
Are you planning on making your suit in latex?

That may work. I saw a picture of a Nightwing costume someone made out of one of those jackets I think. It looked perfect for Nightwing, but Batman I'm not sure about. I don't know if you've never sculpted with clay before, but it may be hard to make a latex costume if you haven't, so the BMX uniform may work better.

Ok, I relised my cape and lowered the price, like Razhwurz suggested.

You mean the Joker and not some hip-hop star who I've never heard of, right?
So what are you going to do, the classic Purple suit or the Ross style reflective dark Purple?
If I were to dress up, I'd be forced to dress as Nightwing; I don't have the jaw-line for Batman or the Joker. And if I dressed as the Joker I'd need to have a girlfriend to dress as Harley . But hey, a man can dream.
Intresting fact, Alex Ross once went to a party as the Joker, and he couldn't talk or eat because he had shoved a D-shaped wire in his mouth so he'd have a permanant smile; now that's devotion.

Nothing's wrong with Nightwing, he's just not my first choice to dress as:
My top five costumes.
1: Batman
2: Joker
3: Nightwing
4: Two-Face
5: Batman Beyond
Now I used to connect with Grayson more than with I did with Batman, so it would be make perfect sense to dress as him.

Those would all be fun, but you'd have to make sure you really liked being that character, because it costs a ton of money to make these things!! Lol!! Would you make your own costume or just buy one? Most of the store bought ones aren't worth the money though. The best one's are the fan made costumes I think. I like the Joker mask at the hallween stores though.
Nightwing would be cool, because not alot of people would dress as him. Everyone wants to be batman, not that there's anything wrong with that. I love Batman!!

I would like to make my own as soon as I have enough money to make one and go to a comic convention, because my town isn't exactly the kind of place where a nerd running about shouting "Look at me, I'm Nightwing!" while wearing a muscle suit would be welcome. I'd also need to do a lot of exercising, I'm a little scrawny at the moment so I need to build up the muscles to fill the suit.
I'm actually thinking I'd do somthing like that jacket we where talking about.
