I feel like a bastard, I'm sorry.
Lol!! Well I didn't expect you to buy it if you don't want it!! I just posted the link here just in case someone did. Sorry if it sounded like I expected someone to buy it!!

Boy, don't be too hard on yourself for not spending $50 bucks on a homemade cape. Life goes on...
If it means anything, I showed my brother the auction and his first response was that it's too shiny. Most capes I've seen aren't quite that glossy, so I see his point (I'd prefer a dull, leathery texture myself). Otherwise, it seems a pretty nice item. Hopefully it can still come of some use to your Batgirl costume.
Well the material I used costs $10 a yard usually, and I used 4 yards. Plus it took forever to make, so I don't think $50 is alot, if you have the money to buy it, and you want it. You're right about it being too shiny though. For Batgirl it would work, but Batman, probably not. I don't think it stays that shiny forever though. I'd prefer a dull leathery texture myself, but It's imposible to find that kind of material in the stores.

This manip that batboy posted is cool. I love the gauntlets. Do you guys think I should make something like that for my Batgirl cotume, out of yellow leather or vinyl? I'd probably make them a little longer, and add latex spikes on the sides. Then I can wear some yellow gloves with it, sort of like Batman on batman begins.
