Very interesting finds, FlaBat. I haven't managed to find Batgirl anywhere. That articulation sounds pretty pathetic, but I still need her. The sculpt looks quite true to the cartoon series. I didn't know Croc had even been seen yet.

Batgirl is a bit lame. Only 4 POA and her arms are soft plastic, almost rubber. Why is her head so huge? I'm working up a review soon.

Another note about figure colors: Batarang Crusader Batman is medium blue with neon green accents, but the figure pictured on the package art is gray with black accents. So is there another variant out there or does Mattel have quality control issues?

Well, it's possible that the prototype differed tremendously from the final product. Firefly is a perfect example, although I imagine that involved either a misunderstanding of his color scheme on the cartoon series, or a last minute change in it.

For all I know, the designing of the action figures could predate their cartoon appearances. The Batman reminds me so much of the '80s way of basing cartoons off of action figure collections. As far as The Batman is concerned, the two practically go hand-in-hand in the same way.

Picked up a LEGO Batmobile at K-Mart. Not much else new in store these days. TRU is the only store left with Batman Begins stuff, mostly the 2005 Ras Al Ghul.

DC Superheroes Scarecrow is the easy one to find followed by Bane. Killer Croc is hard and Batman is almost impossible to find. ::yellowbigeek::

Eh, I'd say Bane is the hardest to find around here. Or he was. With a fresh shipment, the grey knee pins Batman is out and about, but I haven't seen a single Bane with Osito. Anyone catch 'im? Obviously he's a variant, which is very stupid. Alternate paint applications are one thing, but devising a variant by adding his rightful accessory makes no sense whatsoever. They should all have it.

No Bane w/Osito here either. I keep looking but it's going to be harder to spot. I agree it should have been included right from the start, but that's Mattel for you. ::yellowrolleyes::

Sometimes, things find you rather than the other way around.

We need a new Washer and Dryer (there goes my Action Figure budget) so we head to Sears to start checking them out. I decide that I need a saw blade for a battery powered saw I got from my father (I got it without blades), so I head to hardware and pick up two Sabre Saw Blades. When I go to pay for them, there is a huge (over 12? long) plush Batmobile sitting on the Cashiers Counter.

I ask the guy paying for his stuff where he found it and he says it?s not his. I ask the Cashier where they are and he says Home Furnishings, so I trek off (wife and kid in tow) to find another one. I don?t find one so I go back to pay for the blades. The Cashier says nobody is buying that one (somebody brought it up to the counter) and I say ?I?ll take it.?

The tag says $19.99, but the total Order (with saw blades) was $15 and change. When I check the receipt the Batmobile cost $11.97.

Huh. I searched "plush batmobile" on both Amazon and eBay and got zero results. Don't think I've ever seen what you're referring to.

Yes Beyond, that?s it. Manufactured for Franco Mfg Co., Inc. Sears added one of their own stickers over the original tag that says ?Batman Ride? $19.99. It?s 15 ?? long and 9 ?? wide at the rear wheels. I had never seen one before either Caleson until yesterday.

Target has the last wave of The Batman EXP figures, except the store I was at had been picked over. I went to Wal-Mart and I picked up Temblor tonight as well as the rest of ?The Batman? EXP figures that I needed so expect a Temblor Review early next week I also picked up the Batsub, which looks sort of cool.

No signs of the Superman wave of DC SuperHeroes, but Target had more Superman Returns items and even had an End Cap dedicated to them. Except for the Select Scuplt Series I did not see anything to get excited about.

Dang. No new EXP figures for a while over here. My Wal Mart got a set of DC SuperHeroes Series 2, but by the time I found out, they only had two Supermans left. Luckily I nabbed one. Forget to mention that in my Cart.

Target's got some cool LEGO sets in too, but I'm just not sure I want to pay 30 or $40 for that Batwing set, even if it does look pretty snazzy.

I still have not seen the second series of DC SuperHeroes here yet. I did see one Bizarro at Wal-Mart, but somebody had swiped the Comic Book out of it. I also found the new Corgi 2000 Batsubmersible. It?s gray and not blue like the original pictures showed. I did not see any of the other new Corgi?s out there.

Toys R Us has the LEGO The Batcave, The Penguin and Mr. Freeze Invasion set. So far they are the only place I?ve seen it. At $89.99 it may be one of their exclusive items. The other four LEGO Batman sets are out at Target, Wal-Mart, but there are not a lot of them on the shelves.

I picked up Rogue Silencer BATMAN. It?s the last of the current EXP figures I needed, but it?s not a variant. It is the standard issue Batman figure like Triple Shot BATMAN and Knight Strike BATMAN before. Ultimate Defender BATMAN is another cool variant. It?s a dark gray version of the normal Batman figure. I like the dark gray better than the light gray.

I?ve passed all but two of the Superman Returns figures so far, but I did pick up another Clark To Superman figure. Of note is they changed the way they secured the clothes in the tray. The first figure I got had them pined in with small plastic ?T? that put holes in the clothes. The one I just got had them taped in with a small thread holding the shirt part as well. No holes in either piece of clothing. I pulled cape off the figure so it does not look so baggy.

I?m still looking for the 14? Superman to go up with my Action Cape Batman. I have not seen it anywhere, but I did see the 30? Wal-Mart exclusive Superman. Impressive, but I left it behind.

It's strange. They have a 14" Superman here that has says phrases when you push his chest emblem, but he looks pretty cartoony and lame. The equivalent to Action Cape Batman is supposed to be the "Hyperposable Superman" as seen in ToyFare, but I haven't seen him anywhere. He looks great from the photos. Pretty strange that they'd make two 14" figures though.
