Congrats on finding the Mystery Batmobile. The current Hot Wheels lines still aren't out around here yet, but I'm looking forward to getting one of these.

My kid seems to enjoy the hunt (for the Mystery cars) even more because I give him the ones that are not Batmobiles Smile

You know you find the oddest things when you?re not looking. I was in a comic/collectible store (that I don?t often go to) looking for things for a fellow collector. While I struck out on what I went to find, I did find the large oval Batman Logo Christmas Ornament to replace the one I had that was broken a couple years ago. I also found four different Batmobile ornaments.

All of them are plastic in small clear bags. There were Tags on them that say Kurt S Alder and the WB Logo on them. There were two 1960?s versions (one like the Corgi/Johnny Lightning style) that was all black, the others are blue or dark blue. The other 60?s version looked similar, but with high scalloped fins in back. There was also an 1980?s version (similar to Corgi?s) and lastly the 1990?s similar to the Hallmark ornament that was released a few years ago, although not quite as nice. At $4.99 each they were not a bad buy.

Great find, FlaBat - those were teh ornaments that came out at the end of '05, and they disappeared pretty quickly. I only ended up getting the blue '60s version with the low fender cuts. I guess they must've found more stock (unless they decided to reissue them?).

I never saw them before, so maybe this comic store still had them around, although this store dates the inventory on the price tag and it says 11/15/06.

Here?s a picture of them.

Yep, those are them. I can take or leave the black '60s and the '80s styles, since they're pretty much the same as the Corgi cars, but I really like the blue one. It reminds me of the old tin toys from the '60s & '70s.
